How to make blog searchable by searching engines?

First we need to enable Custom robots header tags by checking on yes button.
Settings › Search preferences
under Crawlers and indexing , select second one (Custom robots tag) click on edit check below image.
After enabling the custom robots header tags in right side of html editor search description text will appear to add search key words look into the below image.
